Privacy Policy
Weekplot is a weekly planning app. This policy describes what data it collects and how that data is used. The short version: we store what's needed to run your account, we don't track you, and we never sell or share your data.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash by AWS Cognito, our authentication provider). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google instead; we never see your Google password.
- Your content — the lists and tasks you create. This is your data; you can export it as JSON at any time from the app.
- Operational logs — standard server logs (request metadata, error traces) kept for two weeks to operate and debug the service.
That's the complete list. There are no analytics trackers, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party scripts.
Cookies and local storage
Weekplot uses browser local storage only to keep you signed in (authentication tokens) and to remember preferences like your theme. Nothing is used for tracking.
We send transactional email only: account verification codes, password resets, and email-change confirmations. No marketing email, ever. To stop receiving transactional email, delete your account.
Where your data lives
All data is stored and processed on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-2, Ohio). AWS is our only subprocessor.
Retention and deletion
- Deleting a task or list removes it from view immediately; the record is fully purged within 30 days.
- Deleting your account (available in account settings) removes your account and all of your content. Encrypted backups age out within 35 days.
Your rights
You can export all of your data, correct it in the app, or delete your account entirely — all self-serve, no request form needed. For anything else, email us and we'll help.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note the new effective date here and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
